About ACCMTB
ACCMTB was founded in Historic Gettysburg in 2017 and is open to students grades 6-12 who attend public, private, or homeschool in any of the 6 school districts in Adams County, Pennsylvania. (Gettysburg, Fairfield, Upper Adams, Bermudian Springs, New Oxford, and Littlestown)
We are members of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Mountain Bike Cycling League (PICL) which is a member of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Riders will be training to ride/race on singletrack trails in state parks and national forests. NICA courses are designed to challenge riders physically, yet not put them in harm's way. The five core values of NICA are:

All coaches are all parent volunteers who go thru NICA Level 1 certification that includes:
- Federal/State criminal background checks
- Pennsylvania Child Welfare Checks
- CDC Heads Up Concussion Training
- NICA Risk-Management & Athlete Abuse Awareness

Mountain Biking is a great for Girls!Girls have 1.3 million fewer opportunities to play high school sports than boys and by age 14, girls drop out of sports at two times the rate of boys. The National Interscholastic Cycling Association and professional mountain biker Emily Batty are here to change that.
